BPC believes that BC's current drug policy can be improved so that patients have timely access to prescription medications best suited to their medical condition.
That is why the BPC has consistently supported the recommendations of the 2008 Pharmaceutical Task Force and its recommendations "to create a more streamlined and transparent drug review process while delivering the best patient outcomes and the best value for British Columbians."
The BPC is committed to working with stakeholders and Government to:
- Increase access to new medicines and technologies
- Provide greater control and choice for patients, and
- Create a more transparent drug review and approval process with public participation, resulting in better healthcare outcomes for all British Columbians.
